I was most disappointed as Parker, who brought to the screen the greatest musical concept movie ever, Pink Floyd 's "The Wall", seemed to struggle with the concept of the characters in this movie altogether. Madonna was never going to be able to reach the sting or subtlety of Covington, but "You Must Love Me" is indeed a good addition because it envelops here actual range (I don't think Madonna is even a good singer, and certainly not vocally worthy of the original Eva. I listen to the original concept album on a weekly basis, as it brings back memories of my first sojourn into "adult" music themes.
